Question about NAPA hose 7335 P700 snorkle mod.
#1
I was wondering if when this snorkle mod is done on my P700, will the opening of the hose be exposed to water and mud when you hit a water hole a little too fast? As I see in the pictures on this forum, the hose will come up beside the rad cap. Can you put the plastic cover back over the rad cap after this mod is done? Will the spray be able to enter the through the hose or does the hose face back towards the driver? Maybe this is not a problem, but I have not seen this mod in person and I do not know what the finish product looks like. I would like to try it because it seems like a relatively inexpensive snorkle mod, $20 for the hose and my labor. Thank you in advance.

Nope, did the mod on my dad's P650. Works geat, noticed an improvement too. Water isnt a problem, and the stock plastic cover fits right back over it with no problem. I have seen people drill holes in it or just remove it completely for better flow, I don't believe that this is wise if you ride in muddy or wet conditions, as water could slush up over the front and go right down the tube. It wouldnt get into the filter runless it was alot of water, but I like to play it more safe than sorry.
