Heard this exhaust and loved the sound level of it. Does anyone know the decibel level on this particular pipe and model of quad? It would be GREATLY appreciated information because this is the sound level I'm looking for. I know for a fact it doesn't have the external discs, but that's about all I know because their exhaust site is STILL very confusing. Chances are it is the cheapest one available, but anyway, can somebody help me here? Had to dredge this old thread up because I'm STILL trying to figure this one out....

 

I checked DG's site and they have no information about sound levels...strange

 

LOUD... those systems have a very high sound level the yfz verson does not pass the legal limit im pretty shure its prolly over 100db

 

Like "cover-your-ears" loud? This was not at all how this system sounded. It had a good rumble off idle and increased with hard acceleration, but definitely not something I would find annoying in any way, and this is coming from a guy who's considering an FMF Q. Are you sure we're thinking of the same system?

 

hey man...i have the DG xcclerator full system and its with the spark arrestor as you know and id have to say i dont think it that loud...yeah a lot of people say how loud it is but Yoshimura and other pipes are a lot louder than the DG i think at least...yeah i love the sound of it too it really woke up my quad with power as well...its no where near cover your ears loud...it more gotta love that sound loud...as you know from that KFX700...YFZ450's run about 98db...which does pass.... but i have heard louder quads than that....

 

Is it generally quieter on a KFX 700 then?

 

your probably right but then again i never heard a DG on a KFX700...but all i know is my quad use to be a lot louder when i first got the pipe...now it just seems normal...

 

So nobody on here is running a Stage 3 Full on their V-Force that can tell me the decibel level? This would be so much easier if DG would answer my e-mails.......
