i really cant decide on my next quad i really like the kfx400/z400 but i like the kawasaki because of the orange plastic. how is the quad?

 

last saturday i asked my self the same thing .i road the z then went to look at kfx could not deside ,on the way home i found a z400 ,i get it this friday

 

They are excellent quads. A friend bought one a couple of months ago and it's been great. Today we went to wolf pen gap which is rocky mountain trails and it performed very well. It has been on everything from sand to woods to now mountain trails and has taken on everything that has been thrown at it. If you get one you should be very satisfied.

 

well i like the KFX400 better...even though they are the same quad i love the orange plastics like you and love kawasaki...i heard that the KFX is a little faster than the z too..my buddy has a KFX400 and it is a sick quad..it gets up any hill and has tons of power...it will last forever and just a great quad all around.. i have nothing bad to say...id say which ever one you can find cheaper than get... they are the same thing and if anything just buy KFX400 plastics for the z if you really want the orange...id have to say the orange plastics are really sweet...

 

I've been researching my first quad purchase for about a month now and I am definitely going with a KFX400. I'm going to pick up a new one in about 2-3 months.

I really thought that I was going to get the orange one but when I saw it at the dealer it just seemed so damn bright. So, I'm going for the Kawi green. I have nothing against the Suzuk, but I like the green better than Suzuki's color offerings.

Can't wait to get mine at the end of the summer. The current edition of Dirt Wheels magazine has a nice write-up on the KFX400. They like it alot.

 

well ones not faster than the other there the same...in that article one might not have been broken in better or one was jetted better .i like all the z and kaw colors ,but i don't think the green plastics hold up as well as the orange or as well as the z white and yellow plastics.don't know what it is about it but it shows stress marks bad on the green over time.they are very good all around quads too.buy what you like and have fun.

 

ive heard about the frame cracking anyone know about this?

 

o and i also can not stand the new suzuki white it is so ugly with the baby blue seat.

 

i want to know more about this .what years are you talking about ?i did hear that the 03 mite, but that to me is but a rumer.
