Default swamped praire 650

my buddy swamped his praire 650 today,it died when it went under water..once we yanked it out of the water hole he took the oil dipstick out and atleast a gallon of straight water came pouring out and then then it changed to a water/oil mixture..i took his carbs off (pain in the @ss) and cleaned them out,the fuel filter for the back carb was full of antifreeze????he has the oil drained and pulled the plugs, cranked it over to get most of the water out, what else should he do before he runs it?

Just as long as the carbs are cleaned(done) and theres no more water spraying out of the cylinders(done) put in some fresh oil and fire her up. I would let it idle for a while and then you'll probaly notice the oil is still milky. Change it again or till theres no more water. Make sure to drain the clutch cover as well and most likely you might have some water in the diffs too. I did the same thing with my brute ( water was over the handlebars) and it runs fine.

By the way that thing you called a fuel filter that was full of anti freeze, was an anti freeze filter. The 650 has anti freze running though the carbs for carb heat in the winter.
