I have a 03 Prairie 650, in the manual it says the rear final gear case oil is recommended Citgo Transgard. It does not state a certain type, type E, type F, or V. All Transguard is an ATF. Does it matter which one or am I way off guard?

your best bet is to go to your local kawasaki dealer & get the stuff they have....probally the same stuff as citgo..but in a kawasaki bottle!!!!

 

Don't put ATF in your rear diff. Citgo Transgard is a tractor hydraulic fluid which is what you are looking for. Mobil 424 is what was recomended for my '02 650 but I couldn't find it anywhere so I wound up buying the Kawchem fluid from my Kawie dealer. Next oil change, I'm heading to a tractor supply store and buying UTF (Universal Tractor Fluid) for the rear diff as it is 5 times cheaper than the Mobil 424.
