yea my bayou did that too. the cause is that the float in the carb sticks and gas flows out of the over flow hose. its nothing major just start it up and ride it around for a while it will unstick the float. mine has the same throttle problem too i just forget about it because its done is ever since i bought it. but i donno the cause of the trottle problem.

the float may just be out of adjustment and not stuck. i would have them clean the carb again and check the float height. one of the jets could have a tiny spec of dirt in it from the tank and cause the stumble. use a fuel filter and it will keep it from getting stuff in it again. also make sure the pilot adjust screw is 1 1/2 turns out from when it seats.

Bayoumudder220 how did you bore out your exhaust? any pics? did you notice any gains in power. What other aftermarket parts do you have, and how did you make your lift?

it was a "Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word er rig" job. i dont have any pics but i can prolly get some. i just took out the baffles, and the pipe that the baffles were in i took out and welded a bigger pipe into the exaust. it sounds a hell of alot louder but i think there is some power gain because now i can do wheelies in 3rd gear. lol. fer performance parts i got racing rims, performance coils and sparkplug wires and bosh platinum spark plugs. i guess it isnt that many performance parts but i listed most of them. the lift is a high lift for a 250 bayou but there pretty much the same its only a two inch lift but it helps alot. but it makes it more tipsy. i think the lift was like 80 dollars which is pretty cheap compared to the bigger atv lifts. so i guess the lift isnt custom but i made more brakets for the lift incase they break again cause i was climbing rocks and hit one hard with the front end and bent one of the brakets all to hell.

Hey thatnx for the thread hijacking lol but did u take the baffles outta the stock muffler? cuz i had to get a new muffler n bought a cobra n i can pretty much see all the way thru the muffler. but ne way back ontopic i flushed the tank and put sum fresh gas in the tank and that actually seemed to make it worse but tommrow im gonna try tha air screw on the bottom (pilot screw) and there also was a needle that fell out of the throttle sleeve? and it just lost the ring but we put it back in and im thinkin it may have been in the wrong slot so im gonna try that tommrow

sorry bout the thread hijack but at least i had input on your prob instead of just hijack only which needle fell out the main one? and what ring the part that keeps the needle in place or was it a small washer that was under the needle if it was a small washer that was under the needle then you prolly threw off the jetting.

bayou mudder check your pm's

It was the needle inside the carb that goes in the thing that the cable attaches too (sory for the bad description) and there was this lttle C ring that held it in place and there was several notches in the needle so im not sure what one to put it in and i didnt notice and little washer................Totally off topic but what are some good tires for the ol bayou cuz the oneas that i got on the bike now are really bad in the mud ( hijackin m own tread)

i got some ol walmart tires called carlisle strykers. they work awsome in the mudd cuz thats all i do. lol. but the only time i got stuck with them is when i tried to go though a pond. but u would get stuck with any tires if ur as deep as i was. plus there floatation tires. they work good for walmart tires.
