Bought a 220 new in 1999 for my wife. She is small, 105 pounds. She does not ride it hard, just a couple times a week to get the paper, take the trash to the road, ride with my little boy. He has a Badger. My question is the front single a-arms. The machine always seems toed-in while she rides. Looking under the machine i noticed another hole below the shock mount. I have thought about changing to the lower holes as it appears that it will square the wheels up. Bearing in mind that she is the only rider of this machine does anybody know why this can't be done. The dealer was of no help. I would think this would do away with the push steer. I would think that the suspenion travel would be reduced by about 3/4 inch. any ideas? Thank you.

The front end on all the Bayou's are as you described. Mine is the same way... I didn't know that there was anyway to change the postion of the shocks. I'll have to look at it sometime. But I've heard that it would take atleast 300lbs of pressure to make the front tires sit like | | instead of like \ /. let me know what you find out.

I have tried this on mine once but it dosent work, the spacing of the holes and the way the shock mounts to the a-arm make it so that nothin on the mountin brackets and shocks line up right when you try the switch.

I believe the toe-in setup on the Bayou is to make it easier to turn. I have often thought that as being pure utility machines, the design is much like that of a farm tractor which allows for easier handling at slower speeds.

Decided the easiest way to fix the problem is to trade the 220 in for a Parie 400 4x4 2000 model. Do you think the little woman will have any trouble riding it when i'm not?
