Installed Black/Red spring, now KEBC noise??
#1
I just installed a new belt, EPI Black secondary and Red primary springs. Is it normal to hear the KEBC more with this set up? When I let off the throttle I notice its noisier and when coming to a complete stop you can hear the KEBC moving. It sounds just like it does when you turn the key off and the KEBC runs for a second. Is this normal?

The red front spring puts a big load increase on the KEBC , since the motor has to compress the spring to slow the machine down your KEBC may be worn or weak , try changing the drive spring back to the factory spring.

Sure your belt is not too tight? Put it in neutral with engine warmed up/running to see if noise goes away. If you just changed the belt and not any shims in your secondary, your belt is probably toooo tight.

No, it doesn't make any noise in neutral, just when I'm slowing down to a stop. I rode it quite a bit today and got used to it, so I don't think there is anything wrong, just feels ands sounds different than stock. I changed the original belt and just left the shims in place and the new belt was in spec. Man this thing sure woke up with the spring change and Dyna. I was showing my nephews how easy it wheelies and almost let it get away.
