BF 650 peice of crap?
#1
I don't know for sure but my BF just has to be the worst machine I've ever owned. The thing has been in the shop three times for overheating. Now that I got it back the belt light is on and theres a noise in the side of the case. Any comments?

Had mine since new & still in LOVE!!
Packed mud in radiator and low coolant level in radiator(level in radiator can be low although your sight glass is showing full), loose belt, and weak battery will cause your symptons. Self induced problems like pulling your buddy out of mudholes in HI gear or switching from 2-4WD while moving or spinning rear tires will/can also cause symptons.
Bottom line is if you don't like it and don't care to fix or maintenance it, get you something you are happy with.

thanks for your reply but you see I like the machine it runs great but I just don't know why I'm having all these problems. I'm just tired of it being in the shop and not on the trail.

I just got rid of my Prairie 650 last year and it was a great machine. It was an 02 and I had 0 Problems and when it was traded it had 13000 plus miles all on Mobile one synthetic oil. I have found that the 650 likes a clean radiator so maybe try flushing out your radiator fins and if the belt light came on it is probably the service reminder and nothing wrong I believe it comes on on newer models after so many hours someone correct me if I am wrong here the feature was not on my 02 (service light) just a belt fault is all they detected.
