02 bayou oil problem

Default 02 bayou oil problem

anyone one know the oil that i am suppose to use cause when i bought my quad no manual came need help bad

10-40 engine oil, your choice of brands

Default 02 bayou oil problem

and make shure its not a car oil because most car oils dont meet standars for atv engines and arnt wet clutch compatable......the honda oil in the gold bottle is decent but my prefrence is royal purple max cycle

Yeah...holeshotz is right..car oils just dont cut it with quads...in in my bayou 250 i use spectro 10W40...works great and never had any problems...

Default 02 bayou oil problem

10W-40 is OK so long as the air temps stay in the low 90's. If you ride in areas where daytime temps hit upper 90's or low 100's, go with 20W-50. I used to run 10W-40 in my Bayou 250 and found the engine running quite hot in the summer. Switched to 20W-50 and what a difference it made.
