Default P650 rear shock fix

I did a search and found several discussions on repairing vs. replacing the rear shock on the P650 but they were all a year or more old. I am hoping there is some updated info on this subject. I've priced a new one which is pretty scarey (almost $800). I've also seen where several people were able to rebuild the original.

For those of you who had them rebuilt I'm curious as to who does this, how much did it cost, and did the repair last?

Any info is appreciated!

Works shocks will rebuild them and there is also a guy on forum that does it. Do a search on forum & look up works shocks on the internet.

Heres the guy that rebuilt mine about a year and a half ago. It cost me less than $150 total w/ shipping and all.

Just a few questions Rammy, did you notice an improved ride over stock, and do you think that it was worth the money that you put out?
