Default Squeaky 650

When I push down on the bars of my 650, it creaks and groans and squeaks. I have tried spraying WD 40 form the can up into the struts/shocks but to no avail. Suggestions appreciated...Thanks!

Culprit is probably A-Arm bushings. Some Forum members have drilled and tapped A-Arm/bushing for Grease fitting.

drilling grease fittings is a great idea, i hope one day to do it. The best fix for now though is to go to home depot, or really anyplace like it, and by lithium grease. put it on the bushings and it will work great. my kfx 400 was sqeaking if you look at it funny, now its good as new. Try not to use wd40 cuz i hear it eats youyr bushings, not postitve though just what i hear.

You can also make the a-arm bolts greasable. You need a lathe (or a machinist) to get it done. Starting at the bolt head end of the bolt, drill a 1/8" hole down the center of the bolt about half the length of the bolt. Drill a 1/8" hole through the diameter of the bolt that intersects the hole you drilled through the length of the bolt. Drill the 1/8" hole in the bolt head out to 9/32" about 1/4" long and tap it out to 1/4"N.C. thread. Screw in a grease zerk and put the bolt back in the a-arm. Before you crank it tight, lock a greasegun on the zerk and give it a couple pumps. Tighten the bolts to spec and all will be well!!
