Default A Little Ticking

I noticed after riding the Twin Peaks for a couple of hours that the motor ticks a little bit. The oil is full and has only about 10 hours on it. It isn't even slightly dark yet. The dealer recommended GN$ 10w-40 so that's what I used. Is this normal? There is no loss of power or any oil consumption. I just don't like sounds that are there one time and not the next. When the bike is cold or after a little ride no sound. Anybody else experience this? I had the first service and 15 hours which supposedly included a valve inspection and adjustment.

The person who adjusted the valves may have simply left them a little loose and you're hearing a some "slap" once they open even more from engine heat. The only negative is a very small drop in power. On the positive side, you know the valves aren't going to burn around the edges which happens when you leave them to too tight. A tighter valve clearance causes the valve to close too soon so that fire in the cylinder is still blowing past the edge of the valve as it closes shut. The small loss in power occurs when just a tad bit less fuel/air mixture is taken into the cylinder as a result of the valve opening later during the intake stroke.
