For the 2000 model year Kawasaki recalibrated the shocks and springs on the 300 Bayou to improve the ride, about which they had had many complaints. (I don't know if they did this to the 220 Bayou as well, but it seems likely).
I have ridden pre-2000 model 300 Bayous, and one new 2000 model 300 Bayou. The difference in ride quality is dramatic. The 2000 model 300 Bayou ride is very plush and compliant.
Anyway, even if Kawasaki didn't recalibrate the shocks on the 200 Bayou, I don't see how you can lose. You will be getting a newer machine and you'll avoiding a year's worth of depreciation. What's there to complain about???

are there any visible differences, I cant ride the machine, there is some law here in Fl that dealers cant keep oiled/gased machines on the floor. I might not even get the quad, I had way too bad an experience with these people. The story is too long to tell.

just go ahead and get the quad man its a 2000 never been ridin before and i really dought kawasaki changed any thing (there to lazy) how much you gettin it for.
and if you dont like it just sell it for what they cost new sence you are gettin it cheaper than retal price.
