Default confused about springs

I have a p700 with a dyna cdi and I run 26 mudlites on c5 rims. I have been reading about clutch kits and springs but Im still confused. I want a setup to help me when i go to the local drag races. I actually got first out of 15 at my last race. But all of my wins were only by 1 quad length. When I race I run my stock tires. I like to get suggestions on what setup would work the best. Also wheres the best place to buy springs from. Any input would be helpfull. My next race is in 4 weeks.

(www.daltonindustries.com) EPI is (www.erlandsonperformance.com)
or rittercycle.com (Sells both EPI & Dalton)

Red EPI or Orange EPI primary(s) will give you wheel-standing launches. Red is considered by most best drag setup the EPI Orange (if they still make it) has about 200+ RPM stall than red & strictly a Race spring. Another choice would be the Dalton Orange/Blue. More stall than the EPI pink and less than the Red, and trail-friendly.

I have to agree with tuff. I've tried a couple of different springs and the epi red gave me the best drag performance. Go to kiss of death's web site he did a comparison on a bunch of primary springs.

So can i just buy the EPI red spring and be done with it? Do i have to buy a secondary spring. On epi website they have a $200 clutch kit do i need to buy the whole kit.

Y2
Buy red primary, You don't need anything else. Probably cheaper through ritter cycle.

Why you're at it save yourself some time/grief and buy the primary clutch puller bolt also. The puller bolt makes removing CVT belt a WHOLE lot easier. You don't need the puller bolt to change the primary but you'll wish you had it when you have to adjust your belt deflection.
