Is there anyone out there that has heard of problems with 03 KVF 360 engine. I have only had it one year this past March. I did the recommended service and have only done some scenic trail riding no rough stuff.

Went to load it on the trailer before vacation, it started fine, I backed it out of the garage and drove down the driveway. As I accelerated it just died and wouldn't start. I took it back to the dealer, and they tore it down only to say that it is seized but cannot determine the cause, and here is your estimate to repair, $3000. I did not buy the extended warranty, and the dealer has not heard back from the Kawi techs. I did call the Kawasaki service number on the advice of the dealer. They called me back only to say the the dealer needs to determine what the cause was. Can you see the circle of confusion starting ?
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
