I used a shock off my 1988 250r. You will need to cut the two spacers off of the swingarm. I mounted the Rezi were my airbox was, or if you run the airbox, you can mount it on the rear rail. I didn't have mine revalved and it works fine.

I am asking $5800 obo for my 250R. The 250r rear shock raised the height of the rear about 1inch. It also gave it more travel.
