220 oil cooler
#1
hey I was wondering how much it would cost to get an oil cooler for my 220. I think that I might want to get one because my quad runs around the range of 250 degrees. I have 10w30 oil in it right now. Any other ideas of what I could do to lower my temp? Could I maybe add a fan to it to keep her cool and not start melting things. Thanks. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kawi makes a cooler for the 300. The 300 and 220 use the same oil filters. I think it cost about 325 doolars. I think the oil filter covers are the same. I will look tomorrow on my Lakota. I have wondered if you could buy the filter cover and use a automotive trans. cooler or a power steering cooler and save some money. It would also increase the oil capacity. I am not a mechanic, engineer or a typist. I also never made it past the first round in the school spelling-bee.

ur spelin iz betr then most folks on dis fourum!!
As to your idea, sounds like it would work & a tranny oil cooler would certainly be cheaper. Find some way to fill the lines & cooler though, before you start the bike. It would take a long time for normal oil pressure to fill the new lines!
