Polaris green spring in v-force
#1
I put a polaris green spring in my v-force to see how it works. Amazing!!! changed the bikes whole personality from laid-back cruiser to hot rod! My buddy used to beat me real bad with a stage one mod ds. Now I get the hole shot by several lengths every time, but he still catches me half-way up the hill. (Oregon dunes hill, steep & tall) Next I will try a gold spring and a Polaris brown spring. Brown may be too much for my stock bike - 50/180 vs 42/135 for the green and 0/122 stock. Has anyone tried a brown or green spring? I also have a really stiff black primary spring with a little red on it, on't know the manufacturer. Is anyone familiar with it?

I used it in a Scrambler 400 but it wasn't the stock spring. don't know what these springs were origonally used in. i believe that all polaris atv and snowmobile springs interchange. Conveniently, kawasaki designed their clutch around the same size spring, giving us lots of tuning options.

If you want to beat a DS on a hillclimb, then I suggest the HPD Plain spring. Then start the race from the base of the hill. No running start. This has worked well for me at Glamis' China Wall.
