Just bought an '05 750 BF - should I buy the extended warranty ($500 for 2 years from my dealership)? Also, I saw on eBay that a dealer was offering a Kawasaki warranty extension - $400 for 4 years, if your vehicle is currently under warranty.
What do you guys think? Is the eBay deal real? Is a warranty worth it?

call my dealer he told me that he would sell it for 375 His name is Ryan at Green Mountain Power Sports in VT 802-524-6565 I guess they get some kind of incentive from kawi for selling them tell ryan Bill told you to call him he is a good guy the dealership treats me really good

 

Greenhead talked to Ryan today and he said give him a call he will set you up over the phone and anyone that wants one to give him a call

its less then 100 bucks a year if something breaks like your tranny or 4 wheel drive or blow your motor then yes it is but like anything else if you dont use it then its wasted rather have the peice of mind then worry of paying for fixes for that little of money per year 375 for 4 years is cheapesp when most dealers are more then 50-60 bucks an hour

Bottom line is that this is a brand newly designed machine and the odds of it having some sort of problem that the manufacturer can't find it in its heart to cover is fairly high.
I paid less than $400 for an additional four years from some dealer in NY. No you definitely do not need to buy the waranty from the place you bought it or from a local dealer. As long as it is the Kawasaki good time protection plan you'll be good go at any Kawi dealer nation wide.
It's really cheap insurance if you ask me.....

 

I read on the ebay auction that you have to purchase the extended warranty within your standard 6 month warranty. So since I just bought my BF this week, I have a 6 month window correct? I am just tapped at the moment but DEFINATELY want the added protection for the warranty.

The dealer that originally sold me the bike tried selling me the warranty but they wanted almost $600. They will have to accept the extended even if I don't buy it there correct?
