lakota not sparking
Hmmm... Sounds kinda like the problem with my Mojave that I had at earlier this spring. I was riding my friends YZ 85, and he was riding my Mojave, we stopped and were talking, when I got back on the Mojave, it wouldn't start. So I pulled the plug, and realized I was getting no spark. So I took it to the shed, pulled all the plastic off and looked for a bad connection or a loose wire or bad ground or whatever. I couldn't find anything. I checked the spark again, and it was getting SOME spark, but it was really weak. I bought a new spark plug and cap, and that didn't do it. So I had the ignition coil checked. It tested good. So I pretty much had it narrowed down to the stator or CDI. The CDI was $300 and the stator was $400, so instead of taking a risk I just took it to my dealer. (you can't return electrical parts). After them jacking with it for a month, they couldn't figure it and and the said F it and ordered a stator, and it did the trick. It end up costing me $509 after labor. I'm not saying I'm sure its you stator, but its an idea. Get ahold of Greg over a ww*w.kaw*ierid*ers.c*om/for*us (without the *'s) or ww*w.cyc*lew*orks*rac*ing.n*et/for*um. (without the *'s.) He should be able to help you.
