A friend of mine has a 96 400 Bayou and we are wondering what is out there for mods to help it turn the 4 27x12x12 mud bugs he has on it? Are there any High compression pistons, cams or pipes availabe for it? What about a big bore kit? Also are the top end of the 400 prairies the same?

erm, just wondering, but why do you want to modd a farm quad lol. but i think there will be some mods for you. the newer prairies like the 360 has a top speed of 50mph, your ot be this fast probably 45mph. but the 400 kawasaki [ old ones with onli 2 or 4 wheel drive] will be about same as your bayou.

Yes, the engines are the same. Likewise for the Bayou/ Prairie 300, Lakota, too. With that, Greag at cycleworks might have something too............

 

I see your all talkin about a KLF 400. Well I need help with mine. Does anyone have or know where I can find a complete head? What all did that liquid cooled 400 motor go in? What models are the same. I've been lookin everywhere and didn't find a head yet.
