yes I have helped my friend rebuild his grizzly 660, a 300ex and a kx80... i know friend held his time chain in with zip ties tied to the frame but does it matter if the chains move cause i know theres markings on the cam for timing

 

Make sure the engine is at top dead center and there should besome timing marks on the cams.

 

how can i tell if the engine is at tdc (top dead center)

 

Take the plug out and make sure the piston is at the top of the stroke. or on the LH side of the engine there is a plastic cap you can take out and look at the timing make on the fly wheel.
