I recived a letter a few weeks ago telling me about a steering knuckle recall on my 2002 kvf 650 it been over a month and my dealer still hasent had any parts for it he says they are on back order.I just wanted to see if any of you guy's have had it done on yours and if they were really on back order or is he just jerking me around.

 

Your dealer isn't jackin you around. I've been waiting a long time too...No sign of any recall parts anywhere by me.

 

I'm still waiting for mine as well and calling my dealer every week to check. Don't wait for the dealer to call you.

 

A few guys have had theirs replaced, but most of us are just waiting. I ride mine anyway, although some guys don't ride theirs since they received the recall letter, because then they have been warned and can't go back on Kawasaki if they get hurt or killed. Chances of that are about like the lottery.

I understand that about one and a half million quads are covered on this recall, so I'm not holding my breath waiting for the dealer to call. I call him about every couple of weeks. The guy that calls every day will be the one that gets my kit, just so the dealer can be shut of him.

Be sure and check yours good though, like the letter instructs you to, before riding it.
