Bayou 300 Rear ball joint, take apart?
Sounds like you're talking about the center bearing on the rear driveshaft. I know Kawasaki wants you to buy the entire rear driveshaft. Assuming (don't know for sure) that the driveshaft is held onto the cv joint with a snap ring (might be pressed in, but I doubt it), you need to cut the bands holding the boot off, slide the boot back and then follow the shaft into the joint. There should be a snapring in there that you can usually get with a pair of needle nose pliers. Assuming you can seperate the cv joint from the drive shaft, you should then be able to press the bearing off. Don't have a clue if you can find a new bearing or not though, plus you'll have to find new bands for the cv boot.
A far less expensive proposition might be to find a good used one on Ebay. There are always Bayou 300 parts on there. If you haven't done so already, just go to ebay motors and do a "bayou" search. Should bring up a couple hundred different bayou parts. Might find one for $10 plus the freight...if you're lucky!
