Jetting Question V2 650
#2
If you dropped the jetting chances are it will run lean. When you run lean your motor will build more heat and will not perform as well as it could. I don't think it will happen to you but you can melt or burn a hole in the pistons if you are extremely lean. My advice would be to rejet but if you don't want to then just keep an eye on the temperature and don't let you motor overheat. Also the jetting on the kawasaki's is different for the front and rear carbs, I don't know about the arctic cats but I saw on your post where it said you went from 122 to 110 was this for both carbs? With a jump of 12 leaner on both carbs you will probably really need to rejet.

What is this an Arctic Cat 650? I guess that due to the AC leaner jetting from the factory. Go back to the 122 all around and buy a new performance snorkel (my buddie did) it really woke up his machine. Put the big snorkel on when you go high and leave the jetting alone.

Yes it's an AC 650 V2. I pulled the plugs and went back to the factory 122s. Is 122 jets Kawasaki 's standard? I'm going to the OR. Coast next weekend so I'll be at sea level. I may try splitting the difference when I get back.
Any thoughts
Thanks

Sammydog,

Any idea why AC would lean out to 122 jets and why they would not run different sizes for front and back? Also what snorkel kit would you suggest?
Thanks for the feedback,

AC have a very restrictive intake snorkel tube and the old style (2002) kawasaki air filter.
I believe K&N is making a less restrictive filter now and if you get a new intake snorkel it will really help. My buddie is running 142 F and R on his 2004 AC 650, his plugs look perfect..
