mojave shock
#1
I have a friend that has a 1990 mojave. (I think that's the year). His rear shock is shot and he is looking for a cheap one. Kawi wants 750 for one. He just rides the think no tracks or jumps or anything. Does anyone know where one can pick up a cheap one or maybe used.
Thank you

I agree with you, regarding stock replacement parts. The prices are ridiculous.
Your cheapest alternative may be to get the orignal rebuilt. You can send it away to Works and they should be able to put all new seals, possibly new spring (if needed) and refill it for around $200-300. Works can also make you a new one starting around $550.

They don't list everything on their page, you may want to call them. They made a totally custom set of front shocks for my Tecate (w/o cans) for $375. I am very pleased with them!

The only Mojave rear shock that is rebuildable is the 1987 shock. All other years aren't. What I did to mine was put a used 350X/250R rear shock on them. THey work great and you can pick up a good one on ebay really cheap.
