I've had mine for many years now and never experienced any mechanical problems whatsoever! The only thing that I've replaces are the brake pads, sprockets, and chain.
Their fairly agile when it comes to handling. In my opinion (depending on rider size) aftermarket shocks would be better if you plan on catching some serious air.
No complaints here!

i have had mine for a couple years. I have not broken anything that wasn't caused by me. I take it out and get it stuck in the mud all the time. It is an awesome bike. My favorite feature is the reverse. It is really easy to use and nothing sucks worse than having to get off the bike and push it back and forth to get out. As for the jumping. Man it lands nice like a cat. Really tough bike. I would definately recommend it to anyone.

If I were you I would not buy one I feel they are the junkiest Atv ever built everything went wrong with mine. When you jump it over 4 feet it goes left and the shocks are so bad you practically bounce off when you land. It is super hard to work on the seat and fenders are extremely hard to get off the air filter is impossible to get on right without removing th fenders. The Motor is really junk only goes about 25 mph it will go in the low 50's but after 25 you have to over rev the motor and far as handling goes it is the worst I have ever saw. Basically the suspension bucks like a bull compared to anything else I had ever ridden.I bought the bike almost brand new and have spent all of my spare time and approx 1500 into repairs the motor locked up on me and the kawasaki dealer said the see this alot also the brakes drag and the dealer cant fix them they even agree the bike is junk. The sight glass broke from viberation, the shocks suck, the fenders break easy, the bushing in the swingarm go out every month, the head gasket blew, radiator leaks brake pads wear quick, spark plug is impossible to get out, radiator leaks, valves go out every week put titanium ones in,just all around piece of junk I just worked on it all week took it out for about 5 minutes and it quit will not start, also the starter is junk it goes foreward instead of backwards and requires more kicks then it should these people in here just say the bikes are so good because they dont want to make what they own look bad.But I dont care because I am selling mine
If you want a good bike get a 300EX!!!!!!!!! Trust me.

I think hondabigred is full of it. He's must be doing his own work to have that many problems. I bought my Mojave about a year and a half ago and I love it. It always starts on the first or second kick, it handles great, jumps well, and is quite fast. A 300ex is no match. I will admit that a different rear shock would be nice. The stock one is a little stiff. I bored mine .40 over and installed a weisco piston last winter, did all the work myself and hav'nt had any problems with MY work. It's a good quad. No electric start and a pissy headlight, but I wouldnt trade mine because of it. I'm 30 yrs, 180 lbs, and 5' 10". Good luck!

Im not lying to you it does have that many problems and its sitting in the garadge right now broke down it ran till it got warm and then died I do most of the work except motor work on my own I do the same on my ATC and had no problems I would also like to tell you that a 300EX will run circles around a mojave on any track unless the rider is terrible.

hondabigred sounds like the typical honda fanatic. I have two Mojaves and neither one has ever let me down. I have owned one of them for 12 years now and the other about two years. I bought the second one because the first one was so good. My 16 year old son rides one like he's trying to destroy it and I ride the other. I have ridden 300exs and they are a good machine but not as good as the Mojave and not a single one has ever outrun my Mojave. I have now done many mods two both bikes with no problems and they are still reliable. My more modded one beats many 400exs. But the speed is not as big a deal to me as the great handling, jumping, reliability, and just plain fun of the Mojave. And for the price you just can't get anything else that gives as much for the buck. The sore spots of the mojave are the poor air box design ( I switched to clamp on K&N with an outerwear, works great if you stay out of the deep mud and water) and the firm ride. Aftermarket shocks are a big help for the firm ride. As for the list that hondabigred has, I can only say that he is in a minute group that believe that way. There is a friend of my son's that is looking to buy an atv. he has been around our riding group and seen all the bikes including the several 300exs and 400exs. He is now looking for a used Mojave because he has seen that they are more reliable than the hondas.

I agree when my mojave was running it was a good woods bike and never gave me any problems and seemed dependable but when things went wrong things went wrong It might just be a lemon or the fact that I run this bike for all its got and wrecked it too many times. I took it to the dealer because the motor was missing.they smacked me in the face with a 1200 bill here it is
1 motor rebuild top and bottom end plus .40 bore $700, 2 updated kickstart gears $100 3 swingarm work(bushings) carrier bearings $200 4 valves titanium $80 5 brake work $120
note that all prices include labor
Trust me Im not downing kawasaki's I think the mojave is a good bike with a few mods

I still have a '87 Mojave 110 that still runs flawlessly! Never replaced a part on it, with exception to plugs and filters.
If at all, you may have gotten a lemon (which happens occasionally despite manufacturer).
In regards to the suspension "bucking" any quad will do that when the shock is wore out! Some parts will not last forever. I feel you're over-reacting.
