Default Does anyone know how the clutches in a Bayou should work?

Okay, I have a 1993 Kawasaki Bayou KLF 400 4x4. This unit is and automatic and has a primary and a secondary clutch. Does anyone know how they are suppose to work. Well let's see if I'm right. The primary clutch is used when first starting off. This is a centrifical clutch. The secondary clutch is used for shifting once moving.
Now the reason I ask is mine slips when first giving it throttle. For a second or two until it catches, then it fine til you hit the next gear. Any ideas????????????????????????????
