Racing a Mojave???

the fmf is probally not too good of a choice for a mojave.....id go with the big gun evo or the white bros you will be much happier. For a list of endless mods you can do to your mojave check out www.cycleworksracing.net and i would go with a good foam filter like a twin air. I had a K&N for a while and found that it was too high mantience and way to annoying to clean plus it cost 3 -4 times more then a foam filter. Mojaves are pritty fast for a 250 and with slight mods like a pipe, filter and jet kit you could beat a blaster and a 300ex and be right up there with a warrior and i would also go with a 13 tooth sprocket or if you have 20 inch tires a 13 and a 41 in the back will work perfect. It will squeeze about 7-8 more mph on top end but you wont notice the loss on bottom end either, i also found it was much easier to fing theright gear with this setup

i have the big-gun on mine closeout special 199 full exhaust w/race core from magic racing last january good deal! i have the same mods as last poster minus porting. it runs with the 400s and holds its own. that motor is very high tech for an 87 ! see classifieds

hey just my 2 cents here we race a pair of 2002 mojaves one with a white brothers pipe on it and one pure stock we went down 1 tooth on the front sprocket they have done well i think you should put radials on them so they land better when hitting the doubles we also take them to the dunes and drag them the one with the pipe will beat the cousins 300 ex all day and most blasters too just my 2 cents worth

if you want to really give some people a show then build yourself a tejave. When Kawi was racing in the 80s they custom built a few mojaves with tecate 250 two strokes in them. Would be a potent combo. Ive thought about putting a tecate 250 motor in a KFX/Z chassis
