kip...the moose is a module and not a cdi. It will advance timing from 0 to 7 mph, then it has no effect on the machine. The cdi's advance timing all the way up to top end. The Dynatek CDI is about $250 and may not work optimally on the 750. You can call Scott at Dynatek and see if they have finally made a specific igniter for the BF750.

The VDI igniter, which is due out the 2nd week of this month, is only for Prairies and the '05 BF650 sra. They are beta testing right now for an igniter which will work with the BF750 and the BF650i and the BF750i.

Dynatek's price was $250 for their cdi, VDI's price will probably be $285. You could call them both, I hear Dyna has lowered their price. VDI says their cdi will pull much better than dyna in mid-range. I would ck it out for myself if I were you, as prices may be changing.

You can reach Scott at Dynatek or Lyle at Velocity Devices Inc. for the real skinny.

Thanks for the reply I'll give them a call. I was wondering if I should just start playing with the clutch?
That seemed to help on the polaris scrambler I had. Most bang for the buck right?

I had the latest Dyna CDI for my BF750 and was dissappointed with it all b/c of the low speed engine miss at 7-11mph, other than that it worked great. I sold it to a P700 owner. Cost on the Dyna's on Ebay/motors is right at $200 for a brand new-in-box CDI Unit.
The VDI Copperhead CDI is suppose to be out for the BF750i just before Xmass, If you want the "Best" Aftermarket CDI, then you best get over to the VDI home page and get your name on the list, this way you have a better chance of getting the 1st run off of the New VDI Copperhead CDI. VDI is saying the price will be around the $285 U.S. dollars.

kips750bf.....I totally agree with you that the primary spring upgrade is by far the best upgrade for the money, and probably in the top 5 upgrades at any price. Might lose a little on top end, but bottom end is much better.

My dad has a Twin Peaks 700, and is seriously considering buying a CDI for his machine. We narrowed it down to the Dyna, but now that the Copperhead is coming out I am not sure which way he should go. We can get a new Dyna on ebay for $180 NIB, plus 9 bucks shipping. Is it really worth the extra 100 bucks for the Copperhead? Adivise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
