Hey guys and girls im new to this hole quad thing, i was wondering if the kfx700 is a good first quad?
ive ridden one before but for a short period of time (about 20minutes) but i loved it it had great power and felt very stable.
now im not a small guy 5'11" 305 so i want something that will get up with my friends trx450r. sow with that in consideration do you guys thhink this is a good quad for me?
if anyone knows of a good price to pay for one that would be great i figured id start at 6500 otd is that to much to ask
p.s. on a side note this is my first post and i plan on being here for a long time, and sorry for all the questions.

I would say it's a pretty good first choice. It was mine.
You're in the demographic for this machine. A lot of people will tell you it's too big. Those people aren't bigger guys like yourself. Most of the magazines don't give it good reviews but they are biased against it because of the size and the CVT tranny. And their testers are 170 lb motocross guys. You will be able to keep up with a 450R, but they will take you on the top end. A few mods will fix that.

Well i wouldnt consider myself a average newbie ive ridden my brother polaris 500 4x4 alot and ive gotten used to moving that thing around and even got it of the ground a couple of times. so i wouldnt say im a average newbie but a little above average.
here is a break down on my riding the v-force
location:Glamis ca. Oldsmobile hill
2005 kfx700 completely stock
i was riding my bros. quad a polaris 500 4x4 with a couple of buddies and some how or another i got the shifter stuck in reverse. jumped on the cell phone and called my brother, (glad i got regeption) he rode in to where i was on the a friends kfx 700. well he could not get the shifter unstuck so he had to ride his quad out backwards(only ditched it once). so i got to ride the kfx out of the dunes behind olds and down olds then back to camp. kinda of a funny story but this was my first time out riding and since then all i can think about is that kfx.
