The day I bought my 03 P650 it has had a louder than normal thump, thump ,noise coming from the belt side of the motor when it idled. My dad bought a P700 the same day.We noticed his was quieter.900 miles later we took both atv's in for a recall on the frontend, so while it was in the shop I told them about the noise.They figured out that the drive shoes were worn out and would not be covered by the warranty because they are a wear item. $212.00 will get it fixed!

 

Mine was not the shoes but the bushing in the outer cover and the one in the inner sheave.My shoes were fine.1800 miles.
