Default For engine geniuses please help!!!!!!!!

Have a 2000 Lakota 300....Rebuilt the engine.....put it back together, and it ran fine.
However the left rear side transmission cover was leaking oil...so I re-sealed the cover and I now have no fire. The engine will turn over but will not hit.
Have checked the pick-up coil, the stator and the neutural start switch and all check out fine.
So my question is what the h.ell.....

Some will turn over but not have spark with the switch in the off position. Did you check for spark with a new plug??
Check the ground connection on the ignition coil. Unplug the cdi and hot wire from the ignition coil. Check the hot wire for continuity to ground> There should be none.
