Default How can I add a water temp gauge to my Bayou?

How can I add a water temperature gauge to my KLF 400 Bayou. It's liquid cooled and would like to keep an eye on the temp. Can I somehow use a automotive type gauge? There's a wire from the sensor in the head I could tap into. But the automotive gauges comes with a quite large sensor. Is there some way I could adapt it to my small 14 gauge wire from the head. OR,,,,,,,,,,,,,somehow install it in a radiator hose. They have a water temp gauge kit for ATVs but, they're 90 bucks and I thought an automotive one could work. What do you think? Anyone ever do this?

somebody makes a fitting that goes in the radiator hose that accepts a sensor. the kit i saw came complete with fitting, sensor, and gauge. i'll keep my eyes open and let you know if i see it again. i'd kinda like one myself (along with oil press gauge).

a search of the online atv accessory stores ought to turn it up.

Highlifter makes one but it's like 90 bucks. And I thought I could do it with an aotumotive gauge. Just really need the tee.
