Default Prairie backfiring question?

My Prairie 650 hasn't been running correctly now for awhile. Really hard to start and not idling at all. I just got it in to have the recall done on the front end. Well of course they asked if anything else needed to be done to it while it was in. So I told them to adjust the idle on it. So when I picked it up they had a list a mile long of stuff that needed to be done to it. Like break pads and its missing a band on the cv joint. They said the carbs needed to be taken off and cleaned up. They wanted $220.00 to take the carbs off and look at them. They said it would be more if they needed work and parts. I took it to a local place and they put a band on the boot and cleaned up the joint. They removed and cleaned the carbs and now it runs and idles great. The only thing now is that after you hold it wide open for about 10 seconds and let off it has backfired out the exhaust four or five times now. Is that just unburnt fuel left over in the cylinders? So is it running a little rich? I'm going to call the shop tomorrow and ask them I was just hoping someone on here could give me a little info. I going to haft to look to into getting a new cv joint. By the way they only charged $104.00 to do all this work. My local dealer is really high! Thanks DennisC

Check and see (watch) the intake rubber boots colapsing when you rev it up. The rubber intake boots between carbs and engine. This will cause backfiring and rough running.

Bad gas, water in fuel, dirt, dirty air filter, to much oil in air filter.

rode my 650 Priairie for 4000 miles before I sold it.
Put on 4 belts and one 5 amp fuse, thats it.
