Rookie question about a 750
Since I have only had my brute since September, I am still learning some things. I was looking over the front differential yesterday and I wanted to ask about something. The drive shaft coming out of the right front of the front differential has a green cylinder on it. Right where the green cylinder goes into the diff, I notice some grease around the shaft. Is this normal? I looked at my brothers Brute, and he doesnt seem to have any grease visible. I wanted to make sure in case there was a seal I needed to be concerned about. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If the green cylinder is actually the cv joint part of the axle, that would make sense. It does sound like your seal may be leaking from the diff. Be careful and inspect further as some others have posted having diff trouble from debris getting in that area. Also be very careful not to use a pressure washer too hard after riding, they seem to penetrate a bit too much and cause the seals to give up...

On the "tire" side of the cv joint "the green cylinder", there is the rubber boot that covers the end of the joint, and the start of the drive shaft. The grease is coming out of the other end of the cv joint, right where it goes into the fron diff. The grease isnt pouring out, you can just see where it looks like it has pushed through the crack between the joint and differential. My dealer said that he would have to look at it. Is the green cv joint packed with grease? I would like to ride it this weekend if my dealer cant get me in.
