My friend just picked up an 87 Kawasaki mojave. It already has 250r rear shock and 250 fenders. Hes looking at what else he can do to it, Like what parts off other parts will work on the mojave for a cheap upgrade. I heard 400ex carbs will work. So if parts off other bikes will work on it post it up, he would apriciate it.

have him look at cycleworksracing .net for some great deals on parts...don't use the 400ex carb...use the 36mm Mikuni from Cycle works...also check out kawieriders .com

yes deffinatly check out cycle works racing, they have everything you can possibally want for a mojave to make it go crazy fast....dont use the 400ex carb and dont use a clamp on filter, it will make the engine loose velocity so esentially it would loose performance even though every one thinks the opposite........if you dont want to spend the money on a new mikuni, check ebay they usually have a few on there............and the 250r shock isnt that great, it makes the quad sit lower in the rear and its always good to have a shock thats valved correctly for the specific application.....as far as cheap upgrades check ebay for used exhuasts and stuff......start with a big gun or white bros exhaust, and the supertrapp is also decent if you come across a real good price, good filter, some nerfs and a bumper and then maby a hi comp piston and some cams..........mojaves deffinatly rip for their size and respond to mods well

Hes hasn't got the money for things like works shocks etc, he is looking for parts off other bikes that will go onto the mojave to make it work a little better.

well jsut keep chekin ebay for used exhausts, nerfs, shocks and any thing else.....there are plenty of nerfs, bumpers, grab bars, skids and plastics on there all the time and their are also plenty of exhuasts especially dgs and trapps and shocks pop up once in a while....now it sounds like im obsessed wiht ebay lol ive just been checking therealot the past few weeks for a team green ceet gripper seat cover because ceet dosnt make em anymore....anyways also look on ebay for the 36mm mikuni, fcrs from yz250f's and 36-38mm kehins but as far as adaptin things from other quads its not a good idea because it usually takes alot of work and then dosnt work out, ends up costin more money then buyin somthing made for the quad or ends up being way not worth the time spent so i woud just tell ur friend to save up some money
