I know the KFX400 and the Z400 are basically the same machine under different plastic, and suzuki just came out with the LTR450, any news on kawasaki bringing one of these bad boys out?

 

They're not. Kawi is coming out with their own 450 for 07 though.

 

Correct, the Suzuki and Kawasaki agreement to share technology and rebadged models in their line ups has been stopped. Kawi is rumored to be working their R&D Dept. hard to produce a competitive 450 to run with the pack........I really wish they would have put their old Ballance/ Yokely KX250 motored quad into production! That would have sold so well it would have been insane! Thanks to the tree huggers, we will never see that![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

Is Kawi then going to make their own 400?

 

The 400 is going to be produced as a co-branded machine through at least 2007. It's also the only thing left in the ATV part of the partnership. After 07 I don't think anyone knows.

 

yeah the KX250R or whatever they would call it would have ben cool. they still can produce 2 strokes cant they, they just have to meet emissions standards? evinrude has a new line of fuel inected 2 strokes that supposedly burn cleaner and are more efficient than 4 strokes of similar power.

 

I yhink they must be marketed as "Closed Course Compitition only" to manufacture them now......That is what KTM does with their Enduro bikes for example.
