Get an outtie 800 ???? have these people lost thier minds ? it cant wont and DOES NOT PERFORM WELL IN MUD, its locker does not work with larger tires, and it costs alot more, around here you can get a brute on sale for 6300 dollars for the 750! add another 300 and add the VDI copperhead and absolutely SMOKE a stock bomb, or get the dyna FS digital ignition (200 dollars) and play in the mud. out of the box a 750 will do over 70mph, so you dont have to worry about your buddies. and in stock form it will outmud an outty any day of the week. also remember the frames on the outie are weak, and they are having problems with the primary on them. BUT HEY WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FOR A MEXICO BUILT P.O.S> Get the brute built in Missouri by your fellow americans and a great bike all the way around, people will probably talk about the tie rod issues they were resolved for 06 best money I ever spent and mines the 05! if you are wanting speed you'll have to sacrifice some of the mudding qualities of the IRS and get the straight axle 650 or a 700 prarie, it handles ok in the trees at some speed but not great

I leave you to your own opinion, but we had a 05 Brute 750 and it was not a favaorite of anyone in our group.
Two corrections to your info if I may, The Kawi's are Built in Lincoln Nebraska not MO., if you are ever in that area, Kawi offers free tours every third thursday of the month if they are still running the tour schedual the way they were in 04. It's pretty interesting see how they are made and all the parts they make right there in house. The other is that the Mexico Bomb deal is not even going to happen till 2008 when they get there plant built. All the current models for now and most likely the next year or 2 are going to be made in Canada.

All I can say is that I have to agree with Bob. I looked at and test rode almost every big bore out there. I really liked the outy 800, but I couldn't see spending the extra money for what little if any thing I would gain over the Brute. I have been riding with guys that have them and can keep up with them with no troubles. That is a fact. Not made up or in my dreams. The guys with them ( the outy's) are impressed with that fact.

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. (KMM), Lincoln, Nebraska and Maryville, Missouri gues we were both only half right ? I have to admit, though, my main defense aginst the bomb was the looks looks like a tonka truck on crack lol (red does look better than the yellow though) and that visco lock crap, when I'm in 4x4 I want to be in 4x4 and not have the bike decide when to use the locker, it NOT a mud machine and its too bad, with a 800cc powerplant like that.

Bob, I assume you can buy the '06 splash guard and put it in an '05? If so, do you have the part number handy? I'm about to order a couple small parts for my '05 BF750, and may go ahead and upgrade this if it's not too pricey.
Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread, Extremeatvrider. The Brute 750 is my first quad, but I'm very happy with it overall. It is very fast, and I haven't had any problems (other than the lean condition that was fixed by the factory TSB for replacing the carb needle) that weren't caused by me, personally! I'm sure all of the big bore quads of today have their pros and cons, and you are also going to occasionally find guys that got lemons, regardless of make. Just do your research and some test rides, then go with your gut feeling and get out there and have fun!

As far as the mud thing, I do not go mudding very offten but I tend to forget about the lever untill its to late, at least that was always an issue on my prairie, I actauly prefer the Grizz's locker over the others, so for me the automatic engagement of the bomb seems to work better, by the time I think I need it I have already lost momentum and stuck, and pulling on the lever has not always got me out. I guess the Bomb thinks faster than I do so thats why I like the auto engagement over the lever.
I like looks of the bomb so I guess that is a matter of personal preffernce.

I can tell you dont go very often if your forget your locker lol but hey to everyone thier own. what I'm saying is if you go any larger than the factory tires the visco lock doesnt work right and I perfer being able to do whatever I want to my bike and locker still work. I hope you enjoy your bomb, its a nice bike but its not very mud capable, there is a guy who is trying to figure out a way to make a true locker for it though , then it would be a great mud bike. also from what I've heard, they've already started shipping parts built in mexico for the bomb's which I frown on, I like our canadian brothers but they need to keep it in canada, and out of mexico, when stuff goes there it just goes to hell, its like sending it to taiwan.
