since you asked about the Kawasaki, the Brute Force is the one you want. they make a 650 with SRA that should feel more like your sport quad than the IRS. the Prarie is supposed to be the same machine i think (none of my riding buddies have one so i'm just going on what i read). i think the prarie is also available in 700cc but i could be wrong. anyhoo, any of the big Kawi 4X4s are good, just decide if you want the SRA or IRS, and go from there.

If you want a SRA, go with the Prairie! It is a great machine. It has lots of power, and handles great. My dad has a Suzuki Twin Peaks, which is the same exact bike as the Prairie.

I have the 2006 camo Brute Force 750i. Since I bought it I added Itp 27" mudlight wheels & tires. This thing is great. I have been in deep mud and flat surfaces with great performances on both. I have rode with guys with all brands and sizes. This atv can either out perform or keep up with any atv out there. Check out this model. I was told that the Brute Force has had too many probems before I bought mine. I have yet to experience any problem or even get close to being stuck in deep mud or been out run on the staight aways. I realize every one has an opinion on witch atv is the best. I can only tell you to check this model out. You won't regret it.

Not meaning to bash the Brute force any, its a great bike. My friend has one, and it is horrible in water. He has had some major problems with his after taking it in a mud hole. You might want to consider snorkleing it if you choose the BF. Again this is only one machine, he just might have a had a lemon.

Brutes do need snorkeling. The belt exhaust is very low in the rear. I got water in mine the first day. Small problem. The manual says dont go in water deeper than the center of the wheels for this reason.

Dito,

Since you asked for deap mud That would mean you would probably be looking for good ground clearance, however if you are wanting a fast good handeling trail machine, then you want the oposite. You would be better of with the SRA Prairie/BF650. The reason I ditoed the above responce is that your prescriped needs point to the bomb 800 or bomb 650 Outy's. They are the only macines on the market that I know of that would be truely good in both aplications

The priairies are a nice quad to have becuase of cost and they have outstanding abilities.I think u should consider the 360-700 prairie or the 700 brute force which has 749cc's and is most likely faster then iny sport quad.

Get a Outie 800

Or

Get a BF750 and add a VDI Copperhead to take care of the Kawi detune and put the other $1500 in the bank.

Add the 14" ITP bigfoot package and you will have an atv that will take on all utility atv's and most sport models.

...but I'm biased.
