my buddy was ridin his brute force 750 today on the lake and his pipe got cherry red has anyone had this happen to them?

 

means he's running lean, is he snorkeld or anything ?

 

Alot of titanium pipes on the market today will turn bright red the first few times they are run. Find out if your friend rejetted when he installed the pipe if he didn't he definately needs to. If he did I would definately keep a close eye on the bike to make sure it dosen't overheat and damage the motor.

 

its the stock pipe and he dose not have a snorkel any other ideas?

 

Some of the 05's were jetted too lean. There is a TSB on it if he takes it in for service. If its an 06 I have no thoughts.

yes the front cylinder needle needs to be changed if it hasnt already. also as it breaks in(or the longer he rides it, puts miles on it) the cooler it will run. the fan will run less and less & the pipe glowing will go away.
