Default DEAD 650

I REPLACED THE BATTERY IN MY 03 PRAIRIE 650 WITH A BRAND NEW ONE. IT STILL WILL NOT START. I STARTED IT WITH A JUMP AND RODE FOR HOURS. WHEN I GOT HOME I TRIED TURNING IT OFF STARTING AND IT WAS DEAD. THE NEW BATTERY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY A CHARGED BATTERY WILL NOT WORK BUT A JUMP START WILL. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SUGGESTION?? I APRECIATE IT.

You obviously have a dead short there somewhere. Check all your battery cables and make sure the rubber insulation isn't worn off somewhere and grounding out.

Another obvious curplit could be either your charging system. Check out AC voltage from the stator and function of the voltage regulator/rectifier.
