WTB Keihin CVK32 Carb for a KLF300B?
#1
I'm posting a plee for some help. I'm really wanting to go riding with my Uncle who has a Kawasaki KLF300B, he has nothing but trouble getting this thing started. Now, after last night, maybe it is the way he is trying to start it, but who knows. The engine has been rebuilt, andhe has had it in the shop 6 times, 2 different shops, when he cannot get it running. They charge him anywhere from 80 to 200 a trip, it's running when it leaves the shop, gets home, tries to start it the next day and nothing. It cranks, an occasional poof out the exhaust, but not starting. On occasion is starts, but simply puts at idle, if you give it gas it just dies instantly. I'm sure it is flooding, but I've seen him try many way sto start this thing, from using the choke to not using the choke. Each time it goes to the shop, they all tell him the carb is worn out, one shop wants 600 for a new carb and the other is pricing it at 453.64 for the carb. alone.
I've search with Google and some other search engines, and I never find this model of carb forsale, they are just referenced with various bikes and ATVs. Is there a place that I can buy this particular model from, or is there another model that would work in its place and operate the engine with similar characteristics?

just give your dealers a call and see if any of them have a carb repair kit for a bayou 300.....there only about 15 bucks and you could do it all your self, that should get it running........also check ebay for used carbs you could pick one up for about 50 bucks

I've checked Ebay, and the dealers had rebuilt the carb. I was under the impression that when they referred to it as worn out, that maybe the throttle plate shaft had play in it which isn't repairable. I'll just check Ebay from time to time. I was hoping for a source, other than a dealer for a new carb.
