kfx400 reverse rev limiter
yes, im quite sure I want to get rid of it for him. he is not mechanicly enclined but he has been riding for over 20 years, just like i have. I think he'll be able to handle it. we have thought about the safety of it and drcided that since all his kids have their own quads and arent allowed to ride his, there is no danger of it hurting any of them.

i dunno if it is the same as the Brute, but i did away with the reverse limp and used the button for a horn (legal requirement to get highway plates here in MT).
to just get rid of the reverse limp (for a brute anyway) just connect the two wires going to the over ride switch together. the left handlebar wires have two brown wires going to the controlls. find the one that is not butt spliced to three other wires. find the yellow wire w/black stripe. cut/strip the yellow/black wire (the end coming from the main harness) and just strip 3/4" of the brown wire and solder the two together, then tape.
the 400 may have different colored wires or even a different system, but this works on my brute.
