On one of the longest threads known to man over on nyroc's forum, VDI has said that the 91 octane map might work better up high in the hills. I ordered the 87 and 91 octane maps for that reason. Only problem is, I never got to try it, since I had to sell both my Prairies to get the quad I have now.
Sold the vdi igniter already with Lyle's blessing and continued warranty on it to the new owner.

Do you got any after market tires on it? Like bigger size wise? I have heard a lot about the visco-lock, and how with bigger tires, it doesn't like to engage. I personally like to control that myself. But the bomb has some nut!

Good point on the Visco lok, I think I would rather control that myself also. When he lock kicks in, its pretty hard to steer, imagine it kicking in with no warning, I would think that could be dangerous. I know when I lock my Prairie in, sometimes it takes me for a ride and I can barely hang on.

Tuff/Yamihoo-----The Outy XT package comes with agressive 26" radial tires, winch, heavy front and rear bumpers, handguards and adjustable progressive front springs. So yes, it does have bigger tires.
The viscolok 4wd runs in 3wd, until differential front tire rpms occurs, then progressively shifts power to the tire with better traction. I have about 300 miles on mine under all conditions except hot, and have yet to have the front end 'grab and jump' which I too have experienced, Yami. I've also been almost hit by guys suddenly coming out of trail mud, out of control, wot, off the trail, and headed straight for me. There was more slick on that trail than just mud I'll tell ya.
BTW, it's not hard to steer in 4wd with the 26" radials on it. It's pretty easy in fact.
Guys, I'm a still a Kawi guy as well as a Bomb guy and I don't want to argue with you, or defend my ride against you, only because you are also Kawi guys. I don't mind arguing with other brand owners.
music.....'peace to all the fishes in the deep blue sea, and peace to you and me'. Anybody else remember that song, or am I the only one left?

I own a Kawi, but I'm not brand loyal or specific. Kawi put out a great design with the Prairie so I got one. Over the years I've been more Honda/Yamaha, hard to beat that quality, but they have fallen from the market that I'm into right now. Seems the Bomb might be my alternate choice at this time. I'm more of the SRA guy, but I've yet to ride the Outy800, I've heard its the next best thing.
I'll be in the market next year for a new one, I'll be looking at the Bomb, specially after its been out for a year and the price drops.

I will be on the market for maybe a second wheeler next year. I was thinking of going smaller. Having a 750 to go hunting with is a little extreme. I was thinking about the bomb 400 for a hunting wheeler.
