No, it will be a 450 for class purposes. Expect it to have an Aluminum frame as well, remember you heard it here first.

It's also rumored to have EFI (probably a given at this point) and REVERSE. That would be a hell of a thing, if they could throw on reverse gear, electric start, EFI, and still keep the weight in the 350 lb range, like the other 450s. Say it with me kids, "sales leader".

KFX 450?
Hey guys,
Just from what i've heard (and as an ex-Kaw owner, interested in their latest entry i've been seeking out any details possible) i have been told that it will be a 500, but i hadn't heard V-twin. this seems possible because the GNCC limit is 525cc. seems like they could continue their alliance w/ suzuki and suzuki could run an MX team, while Kawasaki could explode onto the XC scene w/ this new rig. Just my $.02. also think about the fact that Polaris sells the hell out of Predators, so a 500cc machine would be just as competative. in fact it may be what we need to open up another class of machine. think about it: in bikes there are two different types: enduro/woods bikes and MX bikes. Maybe this could be the machine to do it for the ATV world. OR it could just be another 450. Either way it will surely be fast b/c the new 450 Kaw motors is EXCELENT, but i truly hope they go against the grain here and make it a full 500. any thoughts?
