I am a Bubba Fan, but he needs to learn you have to finish the race B4 you can win. Wins are great but he needs to learn to look at the big picture, Championship for Kawi!! Thing will get interesting with the Honda Team Amsoil rider Wyndahm returns.

I can't wait until Windahm returns, I heard it will be at Daytona.

Bubba has really matured and shown patience, he will be a huge threat for the championship from here on out.

Default KFX 450?

Late last summer I was talking to my Kawi dealer about this quad. He said they were supposed to start receiving the KFX450 in October. This was also corroborated a while back in a DirtWheels article. He also said the quad would have a 4 speed transmission, that that after hearing this, the dealer cut their order in half, knowing that quads like that only interest a small group (MX riders).

Now here it is, February '06, and we still don't know what's coming. I speculate Kawi did some re-thinking on their product. One thing is for sure, they had better put out a kick-*** machine. They've had all the time in the world to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the other 450s, so there's no excuse for not being the best when it arrives.

Kawasaki, are you listening???

I would really hope that a big manufacturer like Kawi would know better than to put a 4 speed on a quad!

a 4 speed would be good for racing as you dont have to shift as much. you could just put it in one gear and go around the whole track. BUT I WOULDNT WANT IT. i wish my yfz was a six speed.

hasnt kawi waited too long to drop a 450? Could that be why its takin so long? They need to hit the market with something new to boost sales. All this after spliting with suki, they better bring something hot! I really hope they dont focus on a pure race quad. That usually means no reverse and a kick start, great if your racing all the time but I like riding trails, electric start and reverse are a plus.

No that isn't really how 4-speeds work, they pretty much just drop 5th gear and leave the other 4 gear ratio's the same. So basically you have a 3 speed, because 1st gear is just for pit use.

Yep fellas, Motox is right, your best bet to getting an aluminum frame on a new midsize sport quad will most likely be Kawasaki.

Bombardier has tinkered with aluminum frames in the past, even one with the 650 in it. I'd bet they will go the mild steel route myself.
