Default 650 Prarie accessory wiring

Probably a dumb question, but here goes. Got a 02 prarie 650. bought it used, and Im trying to fix the previous owners half assed mistakes. He has the wiring from all the accessories going directly to the battery, so when you shut the key off all the warn lights, rear work light, hand warmer, and winch switch stay on and drain the battery. Where can I tie these in at? Can I tie them in at the same point, or is it better at different points? Is there a wire set up just for accessories? I have the service manual, and I looked at the wire diagrams, but I want other people's input befor I start cutting into wires. Also I posted on the Utility Atv and I may as well truy here too, does anyone know what kind of grease they use in winches? I am replacing a gear I busted in my Moose and I want to get rid of the old grease, and replace it with new, just in case there is metal fragments fom the busted gear in it. It looks like there is two kinds in there, grey thick grease where the gears actually mesh together, and a yellow more vasilene type between the end gears that spin aginst the winch housing.
