Default Big bore shootouts WHATS UP!!

I own both a 06 griz and a 04 p700, they are both great bikes! Back in november when I purchased the griz we raced both, me on my p700 and my buddy on my new grizz, I am 220 and my buddy is 195, to my suprise the grizz flat our smokes the prairie, but the prairie seem to have better low end power.

thats funny you say that RX1000 i have a 700p and my buddy has an 06 660 griz and my 700p will beat his griz hands down.
so maybe your 700p needs a tune up.

You need to get that p700 checked , cause that should not be happening.

Had the prairie in back in december for the ball joint recall also had the belt serviced and a general tune up the thing runs great its just a little slower than the grizz. It feels like it has more power than the grizz thats why I was so suprised when my buddy easily walk away from me.

You still need to get your prairie looked at. The grizz is a good bike and I'm not at all ragging on it but it shouldn't beat your prairie. The griz has a higher top speed if that's what your talking about. But in a flatout drag the prairie should beat it until you get completely wound out on top end. I raced a griz that was a 686 with hi comp piston, port work, cams, k&n, jet kit, and white bro exhaust. All I had at the time was a dyna cdi, k&n, jet kit, hmf slip on, and stage 1 hot cams. We raced several times doing sand drags nd It was a good race but I won every time. We got on the road and opened them up all the way and I beat him until I got around 60-65 then he slowly pulled by me.

My friend has an 06 griz, clutched, and my brute still smokes him.

I really am getting messed up with these posts. My friends grizz can't even stay within sight of my 750. He gets left in the dust. I don't understand. Doesnt really matter. Not like I bought my brute for speed anyways.

Your 750 would also easily beat my p700 remember my post I raced my p700 against my grizz, the prairie took of faster but the grizz cought up by mid range and easily walked away, and also remember that I was driving the p700 and I outweighed my buddy by 30 lbs.

Your smok'n something something good, because even my BF650 will beat a grizz over and over till they don't want any more. The grizz is a good bike, but everyone knows it is not the fastest in straight line (drag) racing.

If you have access to all of the machines they tend to include in the shootouts, you will see why they rate it where they do. I am not on any of the mfg's payroll, but have spent some conciderable real world seat time on KQ's, BF's,Outy's , Prairies, AC's, and Polaris top quads. Its not that the BF750 is a bad machine its just not on par with the others its got a great motor but it has the worst suspension of any top model I have ever been on. I would have ranked it last just as the rags all have. I am not brand loal, as you can see in my pic's I have a fair share of Kawi machines, even though some have Suki's logo' son them they are prairies. ATV rider just hit the stand with its big shootout issue including all the 600-700 class machines in one shootout and then the 750+class machines in a seperate shootout. Its the best shootout issue I have ever seen in print. ATV rider realy gets down to the nitty gritty when it comes to details as to why they pic this one or that one. ATV rider also used more riders and printed there individual score cards for the machines. The Prairie even after almost 5 years in production still ranked 3rd in the 600-700 class, beating out the likes of the KQ and others. The Outy 650 was number 1 and the New EFI Rincon was number 2. I can see that as being a fare depiction even though I have 2 praries in the Garage. The outy 800 took a unanumus number 1 in the 750+ up class. Its a good fare and honest review of all the machines as I have seen printed as of yet. You should check it out.

There are lots of details 2 out of 5 riders did pic the BF 750 over the Sportman 800 for 2nd. Unfortunately for the BF fans the other 3 piced the Sp800 for 2nd and the Sp800 was given 2nd overall behind the Outy. IMO this is the way all shootouts should be conducted with detailed explinaions of why and multiple opinions given by several riders.
